Apple Computer
Conceptualized and wrote Units of Practice, a series of Web-based lesson plans, for Elementary Curriculum Connections Bundle, Teacher Solutions Bundle and Writing and Publishing Tools Bundle.

California Association of Nurseries and Garden Centers
Wrote Investigations in Horticulture, a middle school curriculum designed to help students understand how the practices of horticulture impact all aspects of human life—from the growing of trees and other plants to beautify and improve our environment, to the ways in which we feed and clothe the world's booming population, to the overall management and sustainable development of the earth's resources. Lessons were aligned to State and National Education Standards.

Dairy Council of California
Continuing to develop nutrition education curricula. Past projects include:

Nutrition Pathfinders at Camp Eatawella*—Wrote CD content scripts, Teacher Guide, Student Workbook activities, and State and National Education Standards alignments for this (grades 3 to 5) health and nutrition education program.
*Selected and recommended by the California Learning Resource Network.
Healthy Choices, Healthy Me—Wrote enhancements for this (grades 1-2) literature-based nutrition education program. Project included authoring The Market Mystery, an original story, the related Student Workbook activities, Teacher Guide and State and National Education Standards alignments.
Deal Me In ... Food and Fitness*—Wrote Game Cards, Activity Books, Leader Instruction Cards, and a Parent Newsletter for this (K-6) after-school nutrition education and physical activity program.

Exercise Your Options*—Wrote video scripts, Teacher Guide, Student Workbook activities and State and National Education Standards alignments for this Middle School health and nutrition education program.

Educational Simulations
Created a series of lessons and interdisciplinary extension activities to help middle school and high school students successfully drive Real Lives, an interactive life simulation program. Aligned lessons to State and National Education Standards.

Grolier Online
Created print and electronic teaching aids to help educators integrate Grolier Online (GO) into their curricula. Projects included:

The GO Guide 1.0,* The GO Guide 2003, and The GO Guide 2004—Ancillary materials to help teachers, librarians, and media specialists navigate the Grolier Online web site and integrate the Grolier Online suite of references into grades 4-12 curricula. Each Guide includes interdisciplinary classroom activities (aligned to National Education Standards) and assessment strategies.

MC2 Learning (Centrinity)
Designed, wrote and built "Managing Our Waste," a prototype environmental science project using Zebu, a Web-based groupware application that enables teachers and students to create, publish and participate in interactive, online projects. Also wrote four related Teacher Guides.


Paragon Solutions
Instructional design and writing of functional specifications for the graphical user interface of Web-delivered computer courses developed by Harcourt College Publishers.

Patria Press
Continuing to write Teacher Guides and WebQuests for The Young Patriots Series of historical fiction books that spotlight the lives of such figures in American history as Amelia Earhart, Lew Wallace, William Henry Harrison, James Whitcomb Riley, Juliette Low and Mahalia Jackson.

Steck-Vaughn
Assessed training needs and tasks in order to design and write the Learning Director User Guide, a manual for a filtered database system that enables teachers and systems administrators to organize students' work, student assessments, Education standards and curriculum resources.


Sunburst Technology
Continuing to write CD-ROM content, Teacher Guides, Classroom Activities, Education Standards correlations and User Guides for software, including:

The Phoenix Zoo
Designed and wrote two Teacher Guides (K-3 and 4-6), filled with classroom activities and background information on the science/ecology of tropical rainforests for the Forest of Uco, an interactive zoo exhibit.


The Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum
Conceptualized and wrote a curriculum to support and enhance their Trunk Shows and Museum Tour school programs. The interdisciplinary student activities serve to nurture students' appreciation of quilts as art and as a reflection of our cultural heritage and history.

Women's Foundation of Colorado
